Re: Hua Hin City FC
Had a glimpse at HHFC facebook page. Looks like it hasn't been a good evening for the team. 4-0 loss but let's wait for the comments from the official commentators.

It's not often that BG is wrong. Unfortunately, this time he is right again
Phichit 4 - 0 Vana Nava Hua Hin City
Phichit's number 13 was playing again this week after being sent off, but refusing to leave the pitch last week.
Basically, Phichit's tactics won the day. Last week they kicked Hua Hin off the park, resulting in injuries to 4 key players. This week they started with a distinct advantage.
Having said the above, Hua Hin were the better footballing side today, and could easily have bagged at least 7. 2 goal line clearance, and hitting the woodwork 5 times (including from the penalty spot) doesn't win games though.
Man of the match for me was Nutthapong who ran himself into the ground again this week, as he did last. Maybe he should have been substituted 15 minutes earlier, but the way we failing to convert chances, I don't think it would have affected the result.
There's not a lot more to say - we wuz well & truly stuffed.
Yours truly was selected to do the exchange of scarves at half time. I managed to put on a smile for the cameras, but I did not feel like smiling at all with the score at 3 - 0.
I won't check until I get home, but I'm pretty sure that puts us 4th in the league again, but still on point from a promotion place, but with a horrendous goal difference. Next game is at home on Wednesday against a very good BCC Tero. Will our 5 missing players be back? Yonsak was sent off today, so we are potentially 6 key players missing.
If we can win Wednesday, and Prachuab beat Phichit, we will be back into a promotion spot.
Time for some shuteye now, before tomorrow's drive home.

Re: Hua Hin City FC
It sounds even worse when you say it slowly, doesn`t it!! FOUR NOTHING!! I have been saying for several weeks that we needed to get some shooting practice in and yet again I have been proved right. Sure, we scored more goals that the other teams in the league season, but this is different against much better teams fighting to get into Division 1. Should have scored 7 but didn`t score any - according to Big Boy, sums it up doesn`t it. It could still come down to goal difference but thanks to 2 severe pastings we have had in this "champions league" we have been found wanting. When a football club experiences having key players missing the onus fall on the squad players to rise to the challenge but sadly the Hua Hin players obviously cannot do that, so what are they going to do about it? Nothing, probably. They are probably on good money aswell. What exactly has been done about this Phichit number 13 that was red carded - which in normal circumstances - means he automatically misses at least the next game, if not 3 games, but ends up playing in the very next game. is there going to be no punishment at all? It is an absolute joke!! Hey but this is Thailand isn`t it? It is about time the Thai football authorities grow a pair and do something about it. Oh, and while they are at it, sort out this "champions league" nonsense and restructure these leagues properly!! Sorry, I am going to climb down from my high horse now!!
Re: Hua Hin City FC
Before I climb down from this high horse I would like to say it could be worse!! Having watched the Thai Honda v Ubon game yesterday on Siamsport, it is a good job we are not in that group!! It really was a good game and both sides could easily have given us another hiding. Thai Honda were 2-0 up and strolling to victory but Ubon played for the full 90 minutes and came back and won it 3-2 with a stunning winning goal. It was probably the best goal I have seen this season. As I said, I think we have to be grateful for small mercies and start realising that we have to get back to winning ways starting on Wednesday against BCC Tero, which will be a tough ask. I will be there if I can get there in time on this horse!!

Re: Hua Hin City FC
I should be a prophet. However, I didn't anticipate how the Phichit tactic of kicking the Hua Hin team off the pitch in the first of 2 back to back matches would mean we'd have to invoke our squad players in game one of this week's marathon. That coupled with Yonsak's sending off on Saturday really puts us in the mire.Big Boy wrote:This is going to be a tough test for all teams, with travel, injuries and bookings being an issue. Hua Hin have a strong set of squad players to supplement the main team (3 squad players yesterday). Hopefully, the stronger squad will start to pay dividends.
If we don't get our defence back on Wednesday, I fear that Saturday's rout will fade into insignificance when we face what is surely the best striker in the division, BCC Tero's 'tank' on Wednesday.
The only consolation is that Phichit's main defender was also red carded Saturday (and he even left the pitch, eventually), so hopefully Prachuab can do a hatchet job on them.
Maybe we've used our squad players early, and we'll be back with 'rested' core players for the remaining 2 games this week.

Re: Hua Hin City FC
Don't forget, today at 15:30, Fort Thanarat, Pranburi - Vana Nava Hua Hin City play host to BCC Tero.
This is a must win for us if we are going to progress in this competition. A win today should see us take a 2 point advantage over the team in 3rd place.
I wonder what the attendance will be, with the game being on a mid-week afternoon. Will kids get time off school? Will people get time off work? Or will today's support be a bunch of pensioners?

Re: Hua Hin City FC
Well, I'll be there and I'm a long way off being a pensioner yet, so it won't all be pensioners! I'd imagine it probably will be a poor crowd though....
Anucha still not fit, Stephens and Lampty still banned. Fingers crossed the others can get the win we need!

Re: Hua Hin City FC
Banned? I thought Stephens was injured - from the manager's mouth. How many matches do they get banned for?Sabai Sabai wrote:Stephens and Lampty still banned.
We'll also be without Yonsak - sent off Saturday.
We should adopt the cheats philosophy. Get a player sent off/banned, but play him anyway

Re: Hua Hin City FC
Is anything going to be done about that Phichit Number 13 that was red-carded? What are the club doing about it with the Thai League? We have the video evidence or are we going to conveniently forget about it!! Surely he cannot go unpunished!! What is Lamptey banned for? It must be for several yellow cards? Either way fortune is not shining on us at the moment is it? Once again the squad players are going to have to step up to the plate and start earning their money. As Big Boy has said this is a 6 pointer and it is vital we get the win. So, come on guys lets get there today for 3.30 and cheer the boys on!!
Re: Hua Hin City FC
I completely forgot the Number 13 incident when I had the Chairman and Manager's ear at dinner Friday night - sorry.
I was quite distraught when I read Sabai Sabai's news about both Lampty and Stephens. BCC Tero have what must be the best striker I've seen at this level - I've referred to him as the tank. He is strong, and unlike most Div 2 players, doesn't fall over if you knock a hair out of place. I don't think Kanchit will be able to stop him on his own. Owusu played well at centre-half on Saturday, but he isn't Lampty or Stephens. His relationship with Kanchit was definitely not helping i.e. they were hopelessly trying to play an offside trap.
I'm not too bothered about Anucha. OK, Nutthapong may not be as skillful, but he works extremely hard, and looks a lot more threatening.
Anyway, lets look on the bright side - that's 3 of us going today
Oh, one other piece of news I got last weekend - the new ground will be near the water park, but January completion is 'Thai time'.
