Travel from Soi 94 to Soi 112

Post by Pagey »

I'm sure I read on the forum before that with the road improvements one can travel by car to soi 112 from soi 94/102.

I want to go to Zab Wer later today preferably without crossing Petchakasem.

I know the route on the new road from the football station on Pattana 2 alley to Soi 102, where do I then go to access 112 anybody ?

Thanks.

When you reach soi102 from that ally turn right go up 102 past the Maury thai boxing gym and where powerfit102 used to be then take the next turning on the left when you get to the bottom of that soi turn left again you will come to a pond with a restaurant on your right hand side (they do lovely cakes and cheap beer in there) go straight over the junction when you reach the bottom of that road that's 112 hope this helps you

Thats excellent Sticks, thank you. And I will visit that restaurant on the pond soon also! Only going to Zab Wer cos we have an 18 month old active little boy with us and I noticed they had an outdoor play area so I want to him to tire himself out there !

Also if anyone knows anywhere else that has climbing frame and slides etc please let me know.

If you go past zab wer on your left hand side is a place called electric mango they have a big activity centre in there for children but it don't open until 5.30 but it's worth having a look and also the boat restaurant in khoa takiiab as a play area for children and you can get some good sea food dices in there

Last time I went sticks' way, the road had been dug up. I don't know if it was being repaired or removed - looked very significant for a repair.

The route I take is turn left on to Soi 102, and then turn right immediately before the giant drainage hole. Follow that road through until you get to the new Vana Nava road layout. Turn right to the notorious mini roundabout, and then right again.

The road is fixed now so the route described by sticks is perfect. Just did it myself 1 hour ago.

OK Terry, noted. But he's not quite 18 months old yet, (see my avatar), some of those look a bit daunting for a little 'un. :thumb:

There are many play areas dotted about. The one at Zabwer is the only one that comes to mind that is covered. Even though I've not been to yours, Terry, I noticed from the pics that it's not covered. If it is in the sunlight then it can get very hot. I remember my daughter when she was a lot younger, going to play on the swings and slide while Dad had a drink. She burnt her backside on the slide quite badly.

HHTel, your comment reminds me of my younger days in Pickering (Picky) Park on the slide as in those days they were metal. Most modern ones are made of plastic.

Terry, we will visit your restaurant again and bring little 'un to try the play area but bear in mind I live Soi 94 so it's not local.

We stopped off at Electric Mango for a look, using the turning to CC just before Zab Wer, although not open the restaurant staff said it's OK for him to play and he loved the slides. Very safe area if you keep an eye on them and modern. We will go back.

Then went to Zab Wer and although covered the equipment is very old, metal and not so user friendly in my opinion. That doesn't distract from the restaurant though whose staff are some of the most pleasant and helpful in HH.

Sticks , Where exactly is the Boat restaurant in Takiab please ? Is it called the boat or just the boat shaped one ?

Thanks.

The boat restaurant is Rua Rimtarn and is down by the high rise condominiums just after the Sea Market. Here: 12°30'58.8"N 99°58'41.4"E
