Any suggestions for a long term rental (car)?
Say 5-6 months or am I better off buying/selling?
Thanks

Definitely rent.
Take a week in a hotel to have a look round and find somewhere you like.

Oops I should have been more clear... I'm thinking of a car. Something no more than 5 years old.

In which case, buy and sell, but expect to pay around 350-500k baht, depending on what you want. 2nd hand doesn't mean cheap here, but you should get your money back if you buy sensibly and advertise the sale well before you leave.

I have a mitsubishi mirage available for long term rent if interested.

I've seen signs up quoting rental rates as low as 400 baht p/day. This was/is just near second set of traffic lights, heading north out of town. It'll be on your right, just a few meters past the little police cabin, on the same property as the TAT office.
Hope that helps.

Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact
