Well, not all doom and gloom for England as their U20 rugby side beat the Baby Boks 21 v 20 to retain their Junior World Championship title. Some great performances aside from the final, including a demolition of the Welsh side earlier in the tournament

Also some great talent coming through the ranks including captain Maro Itoje - a name to watch out for over the next few years. Second row, currently with Saracens.

Congrats to all..

Again, some good rugby on this weekend. Will be interesting to see how the changes made by England go..... and there have been some great moments in the 2 tests thus far.... simply breathless at times. Looking forward to this one.

Wales need a miracle quite frankly, but I'm sure (well, praying for) a far better 1st half performance to ensure a far more competitive match..... There needs to be a huge improvement. Good to see Samson Lee making a start, but I would have preferred to see Gareth Davies starting at 9 - I'm guessing Phillips' size is preferred(?), but quite frankly Davies adds speed and unpredictability..... Something we need!!

Aus vs France have been pretty much non-matches thus far, but who know's - some changes on both sides could add some spice.

Fiji vs Samoa is no doubt going to be somewhat physical as usual...... Great to see these guys at times, although generally a NZ pouching ground!!

Anywho, schedule for tomorrow - NOTE: KICK-OFF TIMES SHOWN ARE UK

Enjoy.....

Sad news from Singapore. Truly hope this is not a career ending injury - certainly was (and hope still is) a star for the future.

Owen Williams: Cardiff Blues reveal player suffered spinal injury

Cardiff Blues have revealed Wales centre Owen Williams has suffered a "significant injury" to his cervical vertebrae and spinal cord.
Williams is recovering in hospital in Singapore after undergoing an operation to stabilise a fracture, Cardiff said in a statement.

The 22-year-old was injured while playing for the region at the World Club 10s in Singapore.

Isn't Fiji supposed to be in that, weren't they before?

No, this is the Tri-Nations as was, Australia, South-Africa and New Zealand, being joined by Argentina last year to form what is now the "Rugby Championship".

^^The 'info' was for prcscct in answer to a specific question - pharvey wasn't throwing it out for general consumption like a little gem of news! Feel free to be sarcastic, but it tends to backfire if it's misplaced.

Apologies, Bruce. I assumed that by giving an unrelated piece of info you were implying that the original info about Fiji was unnecessary. I got it seriously wrong and owe you a beer.

Incidentally, I didn't connect rock star with Clapton for reasons best known to my brain, but 'rock star' is not the user name (that's pharvey), it's an indicator of how many posts you've made over the years, like 'guru', 'addict' etc.

Here is my guide to the upcoming Rugby Championship:

NZ will win all their matches, Argentina will lose all their matches, and SA ill beat Australia. I think that just about covers it.

Probably fair comments regarding results, but the rugby might just to prove a little more exciting and not quite as simplistic as that. Join the league and put your gypsy-like predictions to the test.....

I for one think the Boks will pull something out of the bag this season....

Anyway, if I can work out how to work the site I will give it a go.
