Right opposite Brasserie deParis, isn't it funny when knew place opens I can never remember what was there before. As you canon see from photo, they have really created a unique looking place. I stopped and looked at menu, looks like a 400b meal, I'll try it next week.

I'll try it next week.
If you do can you let us know if it is open for lunch. Hope they have a good, authentic Greek salad. Those are hard to find here.

Well I gave Kims Kitchen a once over today.

Same same but different so it's got to be restaurant news OK?

Still rustic and still the same menu but new staff and seems more spacious

Had some excellent Thai dishes and then was treated to a seasonal dish which was either early or late Christmas fare

You got it. Rich Christmas pud. Sorry folks, I got the last of this years portion  Place your orders now

Le Bistro still open !

Post by Bruce »

Just to answer my own question Le Bistro the best Frenchn restaurant in Hua Hin currently voted no 2 best in Hua Hin on Tripadvisor is very much open, I didn't know they are closed on Sundays ...
Had lunch there last week ...superb as always & such great value ...the daily lunch menu is 350 baht for 2 courses which even includes a free bottle of water -unheard of & the bill exactly 350 bt.
This young French chef cooks with love -the service is 5 star as is the food & atmosphere ...take your partner or best mates here & enjoy !

^ if the bin is 350 Bt then the water isn't free. They just don't show it as a separate line item.

Who is the #1 French restaurant?

I'd take Tripadvisor with a pinch of sel unless there were enough posts to counter the owners friends, family (recommendations) or competition (never go again!).
I think this forum is the best source of advice on restaurants, and even here you have to balance good experiences with bad.
This is the way

For those who are interested:

I drove by Yellow House (off Soi 94) yesterday and it appears to be re-opened after their two month holiday.

I've looked for it several times to add it to our map, but have never found it. It must be well hidden.

Big Boy, I just checked your Soi 94 map and Yellow House is 200 or 300 meters west of where the map ends...

Well, it used to be really yellow, but last year they painted it kind of cream... :D ... but there is a sign hanging near the edge of the road saying "Yellow House". If it's the same as before the holiday they are open breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I'll find out for sure in the next couple of days and recommend an advertorial thread to them.
