Fast mobile internet in hua hin?

Post by cfleischmann »

Hello,
I am comming to hua hin again next week.

I need a very fast mobile internet access..

Last time I had a double surf package (ais with roaming tot), 2gb .

The problem was that I needed 2 gb per day, so it was a litte expensive (650 thb per 2 gb)
But tot was very fast (aprox 7 mbit/s )
Tot has a station on the top of the hilton hotel

As I am looking for a cheaper ( and faster) solution:

-How fast (mbit/s)aprox is ais 2100 3G ? In hua hin (hilton area)
-or is true move a better choose? 4g is already working in hua hin? If yes, how fast?

Thanks for helping

4g doesn't exist here regardless of the advertising, of which there seems no regulation towards.

On fact as I understand it, Laos and Cambodia are ahead of Thailand in this regard.

Hello i just returned from huahin (i stayed at hilton and centara grand hotel)

Truemove 4 G is available in all these areas, the signal strengh is good.

I had a manchester united truemove prepaidcard. According to the customer hotline, they confirmed that LTE 4G is really working...

BUT:
I had a HUAWEI E 5776 which does the frequenzy 2100 LTE Band 1 definetively ..

The problem here is, that truemove is blocking several devices. It seems that is only possible to use the lte network with their own deviece
(on their homepage you can put in your device emei numer to test if your ipad or iphone is allowed to use their lte network.

otherwise you try to connect to the lte 4 G network but it will not be connectet...
The same was in bangkok istself ... - the phone hotline of truemove is very friendly and helpful. but I you go to a truemove shop, they are very unfriendly, and not helpful. - They are not even able to activate interantilnal roamimg for my card...
