I bought a basic mains powered one last year from one of those shops that sells car batteries on Petchakasem Road, on the left heading North near the Shell service station, I think it was about 1,200 bt.

Bought one opposite Big C in one of the small hardware shops. They had 3 or 4 different sizes.

I got the smallest 3amp model for 300B.

Now I need some help from someone with Thai language skills (or a helpful wife or GF)

Can anyone explain what the switch on the left does?

Thanks a lot.

Forgot I took a pic of the store front. Its not the big hardware store directly opposite Big C (they no hab) but a little down towards the railway line. There is at least 1 guy in there who speaks quite passable english.

I also should mention I bought a 150B multimeter there as well. (the only one they had). I should have known better....What a piece of shite.

Actually that was the one I meant, sorry for the confusion! I have a similar charger and it does my truck battery from flat to being able to start in 20 mins, is I don't think you would have needed the bigger ones.

My car batt is 60Ah so this little 3A charger will fully charge that in 20 hours but to get a start it should only need a few hours.

The hardware shop opposite soi 80 has a big beast of a charger for sale. 6, 12 and 18v. (plenty of amps) I think is would be capable of suck starting an oil tanker lol.
