Shipping Agent for Household Goods to UK

Post by petercr »

We will be relocating back to the UK in the near future and would appreciate any recommendations for a Shipping Agent. HH does not seem to have any shipping agent service so I assume we would need someone from BKK.

We will have a small quantity of household goods and furniture to ship to the UK and this would be a part container load with door to door service required.

Thanks in advance :D

I used "Santa Fe" a Danish company. Google them, they have a Bangkok facility in Klongtoey. I found their service excellent

We used Hong Kong Transpack on this end when we shipped our stuff here. They pack and ship all over the world and our service from them was very good. Their office is located off Sukhumvit Soi 26.

Yes I agree. Either them or Transpo / Asian Tigers. Both have excellent english language services.

I used Asian Tigers last December to move from Cha Am to the UK, recommended.

Hi,
We moved back to the UK late last year. We used Asian Tigers and although they were on the expensive side, we couldn't fault the service. The packing was excellent and as far as I remember we had 28 cubic metres measured (one shipping container charged) and it cost us around £7k, including insurance. As I said, a bit expensive. You can get cheaper but I was put off some of the other companies after reading a few online reviews and talking around...

When I moved to Thailand from the UAE I used Allied Pickfords who are a global organisation with offices in BKK and definitely in the UK - they were excellent and whilst not the cheapest, value for money.
