I don't think many Hammers fans will blow their trumpet (or their bubbles) over a nil nil draw in their position with one shot against 39 in the game.

39 shots, no goals, perhaps the "special one" should look to himself and his lack of decent strikers. His attempts to psych out other managers has lost its impact. Somebody should tell him just to get on with his job and leave other managers to theirs.

There is a time for the 'happy-one' to keep stum, and last night was it! It was just one of those games where the ball wasn't going to go in.

C'est la vie.

As for Citeh, not only are they brilliant, they get all the luck that goes with it. Sherwood proved tactically inept at the start, but despite that and being 2-0 down, the Spuds nearly forced their way back into it and on another day, Dawsons effort would have been allowed, then there was the incorrect penalty call and sending off, after which, the game became a non-event.

Les Ferdinand yesterday made references to how Makelele, as a deep midfielder, had been responsible for a whole generation of players who never want to cross the half-way line and is clearly dismissive of the 'holding' role he excelled at. Well Mr. Muppet, it is pretty evident there is something missing in the Spuds team, with a high line and a deep defence there is acres of space for teams like City to exploit, 'nuff said!

Kind of you to say so, caller. The same thoughts occurred to me, but I didn't want to make them on here for fear of public derision and mockery...

Having said that, City were in a different league in the 1st half, right the way through the team.
Bastards.

Let's hope Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal all get hammered by Citeh.
