How about points being awarded according to time differences? The wider the gap the more points awarded. Being first by 20 seconds awarded more points than being first by 10 seconds

Well it's been entertainment rather than sport for a long time, this has been especially evident with DRS & Pijelli Tyres. But this move is just ridiculous. James Allen refers to it as a "Hollywood" move in one of his articles. I think Benny Hill is more apt...

In addition, I'm investigating NASCAR pools. I don't think many or any on here though know what that's about....except maybe HHF and a few other Yanks. If I'm wrong and it's closely followed in the UK and Europe....speak up. Pete

You may well duck, Pete! Last time I wore an outfit like that was circa '74! If you don't feel like running the pool, one of us can take it over. Yes, it did get a bit predictable last year, but the fun side was the game.

That's amazing when you think about it. That's the engine in a multitude of small cars here, without the turbo of course. I really need to read up as to how they get the speed out of something like that. Maybe a charger on each cylinder? Pete
