The coach is making us to paddle harder, faster and for longer distances every week. I think we can soon make a trip to Pattaya. I think we actually went quite fast today but then again we had more people than the previous week. And as monsta said we managed to get quite a lot of water in while reversing out of our little port.

Great afternoon again.

I believe we did the 500m in 2m 25s this time - as Barry said - if we keep knocking off 15 secs every week we'll soon be in a time warp!!!!!

Nearly sank the damn thing on the second trip out - but sanuk time had by all.

Will there be any transportation possibilities tomorrow? I'm off the wagon and don't feel like driving there any more. There'll be two of us. As there's a birthday party today at Bamboo Grove (everybody's welcome free kebabs, bbq sausages and seafood) I may not open internet again before the practise tomorrow, so please, send me a message about the transportation today.

Well Pete it was another splendid afternoon

Thought that we were going to get a shower to cool us off - instead it got bloody hot on the second run.

Don't know what time we did this week, but I think it was slower...........

Mine host Barry, laid on a good spread as usual and we'll be back for more next week - paddling that is.

Didn't get half as wet as last week - probably because Dave wasn't there and I made sure I was in front of Dawn

The coach saved us from the sprints this week, instead we did some longer paddlings which where equally tiring. It was good to be able to enjoy the beers and food sponsored by Mermaids Cruises and Barry after 4 dry Sundays. Cheers.

Have now figured out why I'm in the team...I'm the bl**dy scapegoat! I was also blamed for tipping the boat & letting water in when my (admittedly not small) backside was planted firmly & unmovingly on my bench!! :D Terry, I'd just like to know why after our first time out the front (where you were sitting) was a lot wetter than where I was sitting!? :P
Knackering, but great fun, as usual! I think today was more an endurance than a speed run, but very good. Good turnout as well! I'm plotting ways to get rid of that whistle, though.
Great hospitality & food as usual. Thanks Barry & family!

I mentioned before that you all need a drum beater. Lacking that, you need a good rowing song that keeps you in sync and where the lead singer can change the tempo. I found the perfect one! Everyone please learn it by heart before next Sunday. :D  Pete

Dawn

The reason for the boat being wetter before could be because either

a) My fat arse :thumb:

or

b) we are are all now a little bit better at keeping the water out
