....back surgery the reason given, but he also hasn't been paid by Lotus all year and he's leaving for Ferrari anyway. Lotus always seems to have money/sponsorship problems. Perhaps we won't see them next year?

Well, to give you a little help if not too late.....I think Button has a 3 place grid penalty. BBC should have details. It happened in practice. I hadn't seen it before I picked.

Vettel wins again and sets a new record for consecutive wins in a single season. This conflicts with info I posted after the last race. No idea which BBC article is correct.
Richard, Parahandy and myself all had 18 points this race. Richard takes the Yellow Cap due to type of points achieved. Parahandy nudges VS out of third place due to type of points achieved, and with one race remaining it looks like an in house battle between those two for a podium spot.
Next and last for this season is Brazil next Sunday. Good luck to all!
This should clarify any confusion concerning records.
".....Vettel charges into next weekend's season finale in Brazil with a chance to tie Michael Schumacher's Formula One record of 13 victories in a single season. Schumacher set the mark in 2004, and also won seven straight races that year.
Vettel also is closing on the overall Formula One record for consecutive victories of nine, set by Alberto Ascari over parts of the 1952 and '53 seasons......"
Those of you with particularly eagle eyes may have noticed that Ms. Spark, of the Vital variety, and I are currently level-pegging in this, the most exciting and important contest of the year as it nears its climax.
I just thought that you would like to know that there is absolutely no feeling of competition in the household at all. No 'crackly' atmosphere. No 'hisses' or 'spits'. No heightened tensions between us. Oh no - not for a minute. Please understand that we are totally relaxed about the the situation. Totally.
Completely. Really. Oh yes.
Each one of us knows exactly which one will come out on top, so we're cool with that.
At least I am.
