This website has been posted about here before, but last reference I found was from 2011.

Just wanted to remind you about eztv.it that is a torrent tracker focusing on TV series. It is mostly US and UK series. Also a lot of documentaries posted by MVGroup.

A new BBC series. Intriguing title and a great soundtrack, including Nick Cave and The White Stripes.

A dark and violent portrayal of post-WWI Birmingham. Criminal gangs, communists, corrupt police, a Belfast hard-man police chief (Sam Neill - excellent) brought in to clean out the rabble.

Not a lot of laughs, but some very good acting and a very realistic setting (I imagine...).

Downton Abbey - series 4 of my favourite period soap just starting! :D

Free on UKTV.
I watched it too ..I like it, very well done. :thumb:

This is really getting quite good :) I must say I was a little apprehensive in the beginning. Last week's episode was exciting (for me anyway) and I am really looking forward to the next one. :)

Been watching the current seasons of Sons of Anarchy, and Strikeback, about the only TV shows I watch (Justified in season). Both are doing good keeping me entertained (not an easy job!!)

Homeland season 3 premiered last Sunday. Also airing on Sunday was a parody of Homeland in the form of The Simpsons's 25th season premier. They should do episodes like that more often.

I finally got around to watching the first episode and enjoyed it very much. It's sort of a melodramatic noir mystery with lots of action. I have to admit that I like the sets and scenery as much as the plot, which seems a bit thin at times.

Congratulations to the Australian actors who always seem to do such a good job of putting on an American accent.

Another one that looks like it will be a good one just started on TrueVisions (True Series I think). It's called The Blacklist. I wasn't sure after the first episode but after the second one, I'm hooked. Good cast and unusual plot line that carries over from week to week so you'll probably have to download it from somewhere to start with the first episode.

Will try the Blacklist later... (it's on Couchtuner)

I recently got back to Game of Thrones, catching up with season 2 and moving into season 3. Last night I watched the penultimate episode of season 3.

Without giving anything away - Oh-My-Good-God!

The interplay of the 2 main characters looked promising but ludicrous story line turned me off.

Episode 1 Spoiler Alert

Did the second episode include any beyond ridiculous scenes like the shootout on the bridge? The only way that could have happened is: 1) The FBI team was dumber than a VW Van full of stoned security guards, 2) The bad guys stole three trucks, two boats, secured road worker uniforms and climbing gear then pulled off a tightly timed choreographed operation in what, 1 hour?, all without knowing the FBI's route, 3) The bag guys got away because there were no law enforcement or military aircrews nearby and capable of finding 2 boats on the empty Potomac while the boats would have remained in sight of the FBI agents on the bridge for 5 minutes, and 4) It goes without saying that most law enforcement in US TV network shows learned their marksmanship at the Imperial Stormtroopers Academy.

*sheesh*

I'm inclined to agree. Dim shades of Hannibal Lecter and Agent Starling, but holes in the plot a country mile wide. And I'm not picky - hell, I watched all 500 episodes of 24!

I enjoyed it as well...I have recorded last nights episode as I got back late. I immediately thought of Hannibal Lecter...yes there were flaws, but entertaining :)

But maybe predictable, after two episodes, I'm guessing that the lead male (bad guy) will turn out to be the father of the lead female (FBI agent). We'll see.

Those who didn't like the first episode (I was not convinced either) should at least give it another 45 minutes and see how you feel about the 2nd episode before you write it off. It gets better imho.

Was watching tonight's episode of Serangoon Road and heard one of the best lines ever delivered to an older man by a younger woman.

The old guy comes into the office where she works and sees her for the first time and says:

"Where have you been all my life?"

She instantly replys:

"I wasn't born for the most of it!"

Shut him down completely!

:lach:
