As you might likely yourself be a veteran of this town, you know that shops, restaurants, bars, etc. change faster
than fire in this place.

No good fish and chips in Hua Hin. Plenty of good fish and chips in Pattaya. Git!

I went to the one on Petchakasem near the traffic lights tonight. Small to medium sized fish which was a grey/brown colour, average batter and frozen fries. I asked why they don't do proper chips and the owner replied that the potatoes are shite here. So was that meal. I won't be back.

There is nothing wrong with the potatoes that can be bought here. The owner has simply opted for the cheaper and more convenient option. In fact, I noticed that customers at the said venue were getting frozen chips, and it's actually why I've never bothered ordering anything there.

Also, fish is meant to be white.

I think Makro here is pretty uniform concerning their buying/stocking arrangements. In the Sattahip store they have boxes of potatoes grown locally and imported from a variety of EU countries and the USA. I'm assuming a trip to the HH Makro will reveal the same. Pete

Johnnie Walkers (proper chips)
Buffalo Bills (proper chips)

Non come close to the chip shop in BKK at top of soi cowboy.
