Local resturants in Khao Takiab

I got this from another post...googled it...it looks good and BB ate fried ice cream there. I will try it out next time...any other reviews?
Supatra Hua Hin Resort is situated at the Hua Hin beach in Khao Takiab

Yes, lovely restaurant, lovely food, good service and an excellent setting. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We chose to sit in one of their air conditioned rooms because of the threat of rain, but the outside seating looked every bit as nice - weather permitting.

Highlight of our meal - there was an old bookcase in my direct line of vision full of little ornaments. One of the ornaments just lifted off a shelf, moved forward about 4 inches and dropped to the floor. Such happenings don't bother me whatsoever, but the waiting staff, being Thai were fantastic to watch. They were very uncomfortable being in that room waiting on us thereafter.

coffee corner just down from the 7 eleven has great coffee.. great food .. its a noodle shop run by Nod and Indy.. very friendly owners who speak good english

That's my regular seafood restaurant. I have been going to that restaurant probably 30-40 times the last 2-3 years and I have been very pleased every time. Even my Thai wife says that this is her favorite seafood restaurant and the dishes we normally eat there have been very consistent with regards to quality and how they prepare them each time

I agree. We ate there countless times when we were staying in Takiap and every visit was an enjoyable one. Good food; good service; nice setting, and reasonable prices. It can get a bit crowded at times though.

Continue South going right of Police Station and Round About. About 500 meters, You will see a Family Mart or Convenience Store on the left. There is a dirt road next to this. Turn left here. At the end of the road, you will see the restaurant. Enjoy! Fine food!

Well I was taking about the triangle/roundabout thing.

When you get to Seacraze Condos (on right) you have gone about 50 meters too far. Turn around, and now turn right by convenience store. It is just past Monkey Mountain. The restaurant sits on the opposite side from the fishing villages at Monkey Mountain Soi. Across the creek. The "Round About" that I was using as reference is where you turn left to go up Monkey Mountain and go right to continue South into Khao Takieb (Passing the Wat) There is a Poli e Post in the middle. Hope this clears it up or causes more confusion. LOL

Lol, it seems that the roundabout has caused some serious confusion here, not sure how else to describe it but I am glad you knew what I meant!

You directions are clear so I'm sure we will will find our way for lunch today, assuming that this place is open all day like most Thai run establishments are?

If Ruarimtarn is the one shaped like a boat, we tried it once and decided never to return. Many better seafood places. Also have eaten at Usa Mas many many times and had shrimp on nearly every occasion and never had a problem. Possibly the food poisoning came from something else as depending on the type of bug it can take a while to manifest itself.
