Just went for the full English today with pot of tea and juice. Good value although my friend did comment that you don't serve jam or marmalade with the ample portion of toast. I don't eat toast much but my colleague did think it needed more than just butter.

Does your friend not have a tongue in their head?

Was the butter knife acceptable?

I've never visited this establishment before but will make a point of going there and empathising with the staff, who are exposed to customers such as you and your 'friend'.

As a matter of interest do you now have a new chef?

I have been to eat there several times since the 'changing of the Chefs' so to speak and she does a fantastic job. She is the same chef that worked closely with Ian for over 6 months and trained under him so she is very capable of cooking, in fact there were a few instances on a Sunday when Chef Ian was on holiday and she took charge and made the roasts and in all honesty I actually thought she did a better job of it.

Sorry didn't see your post. To answer your question, No we don't have a new chef, Our Thai chef has firmly taken the reigns in the Bistro, She has actually worked at The Palm Bistro for nearly three years, just did so very quietly.
