IDL are not issued in Hua Hin or Pran Buri.............Believe me have tried!

Apparently IDP can be done at the provincial DLT offices - so Prachuab or Phetchaburi would be the two closest. I found an article here in Thai, dated feb 2011, announcing additional places where IDPs can be obtained.

Bearing in mind Hobiecat's experience it wouldn't do any harm to check with the DLT call centre on 1584.

Thanks! So far, I've maintained my USA-issued drivers license along with my Thailand-issued ones, but if I ever decide to stop that, now I know where to get the IDP here.
