Ko samet anyone been?
I am thinking of a few nights in samet, possibly in July, I would like to know if any of you have been , I am looking for a good hotel with a beach and nice restaurants nearby .any recommends ? Thanks in advance..

See below map. The beaches of Had Sai Keaw and Ao Phai are the best IMO if you want good beaches and a lot of activity day and night. The further south you go on the east side, the more quiet and less developed. All of the east side beaches and water quality is good (usually). Don't compare Samet with Krabi or Phuket though, it's a nice place, but different. Pete

Don't forget that July is the rainy season. 50-50 what weather you'll get on a daily basis. Pete

Just got back from KS, great weather, sadly it is totally overrun with eastern Europeans, it used to be lovely
