I didn't realise that Tuesday is still a public holiday so the track may be busy. If there are many bikes on the track then we won't be on it for obvious safety reasons....
A regular bike run will be held from K.K. pending track usage.

Guys,
Mrs. GN., has been so kind to contact K.K. circuit to obtain answers for some questions:....

1) Unknown if track will be busy tomorrow as booking is not a requirement..
2) Bring your safety gear (leathers, helmet, boots, gloves, etc.). I kinda guessed that was a minimum.
3) No specific safety equipment is required on the bike. Turn up, pay the fee and hit the tarmac.

Track opens at 08:30 tomorrow (bikes only A.M.) and the morning is yours for 1000THB.

Mai bin rai..... T.I.T.

Any car drivers wishing to attend you are most welcome as we are in need of a photo/videographer...

Going to attempt to ride through Bangkok to Lad Praow this weekend to get the bike serviced. Was going to take it on an easier run to Phuket but its a bit wet down there at this time of year.

Anyone done any Bangkok riding? Tips on route and general things to watch out for welcome, I've found a possible route from Google maps but not sure what is and isnt doable in Bangkok on two wheels.

Not really, you could use the outer ring road (RT9 I think) to Bagna-Trad Rt #3. You go south of the city. But.....I don't thing MC's are allowed on the upper deck of the Bagna-Trad expressway, which would put you on the old road underneath with a lot of truck traffic. Anyway......just a thought. Pete

I don't ride bikes but where do you intend to cross the river? If that black line you have drawn goes through Bang Khae, then I would have a rethink as there is some major road works going on in that area, and a lot of congestion.

Did you not cross the river awhile ago to go to Pattaya somewhere to the south of Bangkok?
If you cross in that area there are a couple of major roads that are not expressways that will keep you away from the more congested areas. It may be a bit further Kms wise, but a lot quicker.

Was going to cross the Rama 7 bridge and follow Rachadapisek Road (if I can). Don't think I could find the little ferry place we crossed before.

The Discovery Channel has a set of Videos entitled "Twist the Throttle".....one about the Honda Goldwing is below. You can find others about different Honda models at the site. What a machine this Goldwing is....but probably not for Thai roads. Would be great for USA/Canada and probably Europe. 1.8 liter flat 6 engine I think...bigger than many cars. Pete

The expressway restrictions are for all motorcycles?.. I am amazed, my K1600 couldn't run that road, it can out preform most cars on the road... A guy that used to work for me in BKK rode his 750 on the toll ways back in the late 1990's... When did this change?? Not that I want to ride the express ways too often, road warrior isn't my thing, but sometimes you just have to get from point "A" to point "B"... Just saying....
