emailing them and moaning has shown to do no good, why not start a facebook page? they hate getting attacked in social media as all big companies do

start the page I could certainly get a few hundred if not a 1000+ likes from thais in my network, they MAY take a little notice then??

At last, a movie in original soundtrack

Pacific Rim is showing in English at 12:25, 15:15, 18:50 and 21:40

All of the above showings are in 3D.

Click on the movie name above for review.

We went to watch the movie this evening, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I could liken it to an adult version of Power Rangers that I used to watch with my son when he was younger. That was combined with a few 'Top Gunesq' moments. Action from start to finish, and no soppy love scenes.

Not a classic movie, but I've seen a lot worse films. As I said, we enjoyed it. The movie was 2hrs 10mins long, but it didn't seem too long. I don't even remember yawning. It was in 3D, but didn't need it.

I'd recommend it.

No change at Hua Hin Cinema this week regarding original soundtrack movies, apart from revised start times.

This week's disappointment is that Red 2, which I had been looking forward to is being shown in 2 auditoriums - both dubbed in Thai only. :banghead:

why do they change the times ?

yesterday, we looked at the start time for PR in English and it was 13:10, 16:00 etc. Today, it is still on at the same screen but times are now 12:10, 15:00 etc. I know the rest of the program has changed, but surely it would make sense to keep existing movies at the same time for people who intend coming back a few days later.... anyway, they lost customers as we got there at 13:00....

TIT, and the business sense of a tadpole.

Maybe the manager learnt his trade at Tesco. Instead of moving products around hoping that you'll spot something else that you need while search, maybe this clown hopes you'll watch one of his dubbed movies today, and go back to watch your chosen movie tomorrow :?

Seriously, PR was an action packed movie - worth going back for.

After seeing Pacific Rim last week in original soundtrack I was hoping that the trend would continue. Appears from comments above it seems rather hit and miss, mostly miss.

Keeping this thread running, week after week, I'm starting to notice a trend. During the UK (and probably other areas that I know nothing about) school holidays, when there is a slight increase in Farang visitors, they put on a token 'original soundtrack' movie. We might see one more movie before the holidays end.

It will then go quiet until half term, when there might be a quick showing.

As the high season gets underway, there will be at least one 'original soundtrack' movie available throughout. Unfortunately the manager, only having the business brain of a tadpole, will minimise any potential profits by keeping the same movie showing for several weeks, while interesting movies will be dubbed in Thai in other auditoriums.

As the high season closes, it will be Thai only until the school summer holidays come around again.

All that we can do is hope that when the new cinema opens in 2015, the competition will force a different way of thinking.

THERE ARE STILL NO ENGLISH SOUNDTRACK MOVIES SHOWING AT HUA HIN CINEMA

Meanwhile, Red 2 enters it's 3rd week of being shown in Thai only. However the tadpole brained management have realised that there might not be enough Thais left to show it to. Therefore they have resticted this weeks showing to just 35 showings (14,000 seats approx). Meanwhile, us Farang who would willingly pay to watch the movie are restricted to free downloads :? Obviously Farang coin is not wanted by Hua Hin Cinema :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I know that I will be ignored, but I have started spending about 30 seconds daily sending a (pre-written) message to the Contact Us section of their website telling them of the lost revenue they have at Hua Hin cinema, and how to resolve it. In the unlikely event of a reply (I've been ignored 7 times so far :banghead: ), I will post it here.

Well this thread has had over 6,000 views this year so I guess people (farangs) just wont bother with the place, I wouldn't ... but then maybe that's what they want. :banghead:

Bangkok cinemas are great, every single film is shown in original soundtrack and Thai.
