Non Imm OA visa: Gaurantor
Non Imm OA visa: Gaurantor
We are arriving in HuaHin mid August and working on our Non Imm OA visa's. The form states we require a name and address of Guarantor in Thailand. Any advice on how we complete this section as we have no one in Thailand we can use. How did others complete this part of the form? Thanks Su

Aha, I read your statement quite differently, but obviously incorrectly. I think you will need to wait for some other replies from people with specific knowledge, as although I have an OA visa, I used my Thai wife as sponsor when I applied. Good luck.susee101 wrote:Hi thank you we will not be working in Thailand...we are working ON our NOn Imss O-A visa. Any suggestions?

I know that a few members have got an OA in the past so hopefully they'll reply specifically to your query.
Unfortunately, I can't be precise as I've never applied for an OA but I wouldn't think that question is too important. After all, you're having to supply proof of income or savings to get the visa so you're sort of self-guaranteeing.
In the absence of any other advice, I'd be inclined to simply put down the address of where you'll be staying initially (hotel or some such).
I don't think it'll be a big deal.
You could also email or call the Thai Embassy.

Hi Susee
What country are you applying from?
A local guarantor doesn’t seem to be a requirement when applying from the UK.
I’m sure one of your countrymen will be able to help.
Good luck.

I just put "self" and it worked okay.

Very many thanks to you all. I contacted the Thai embassy and was advised to leave it blank. We thought it was for character but it seems its financial. Hope this is helpful for others in the future.
