I think I was a bit too quick in posting the new photo after the previous car had been identified as a Daimler Dart, but there then followed a number of exchanges so here goes again

As it's all gone quiet I'll throw in what I'm sure is a wrong answer just to get things going again.
Is it a Bristol, from the late sixties. I can't even think of a model except Beaufighter and it's not one of them.

Indeed very quiet and alas not a Bristol, but a British car from the early 60's!!

With a little help from Uncle G

The AC Greyhound
The AC Greyhound was released in 1959 and ran until 1963. A two door, 4 seater with an aluminium body. In total 83 units were produced, 3 of which were left hand drive and the rest right hand drive. Easily confused with some Aston Martin models.

Frank, Interestingly you may have been partly right with your Bristol :D answer

Various straight-six engines were fitted:

1.991-litre AC Cars OHC (75 bhp @ 4500 rpm; 1000 kg)
1.971-litre Bristol 100D2 OHV, (125 bhp @ 5750 rpm; 1015 kg)
2.216-litre Bristol (105 bhp @ 4700 rpm; 1093 kg)

2.553-litre Ford Zephyr (up to 170 bhp @ 5500; 1040 kg)
