mr. plum only you might have knowledge of this. so... wife got some twigs and branchs from lady across soi. she would place these in a big pot and let it set for 4-6 weeks. she would then filter the liquid from pot into bottles. she said it helped with her blood. i never questioned what it did. figured it was thai thing. we moved back to usa and itching problem for me started. went to 2 skin doctors and 4 medical doctors. none of their advise helped. it was you who said fungus problem and feeds on sugar. i stopped all sugar and man did that stop misery. well 80% but this i could live with. wife told me to try some of her blood cleaning juice. after spending maybe 2,000 dollars on useless creams the 6 doctors told me to use i begain to think that external treatments were of no use and this fungus had to be attacked internally. the sugar suggestion worked great but my wifes blood juice whipped the shit out of the remaining fungus. took about 2 months, 1 tbs a day, to clean out my blood and i was dancing in the moonlight. then bam. no more blood juice. i asked wife could she get lady to send more. no dice. lady had moved and her sister did not know where. no more twigs. do you in your infinate wisdom know of this herbal tonic? it came from somewhere north that's all i know.

Bill,

I am far from knowldgeable in this area, but what you describe (some twigs and branchs) sounds similar to what my wife uses. When she was in the UK she (and many other Thais) used this instead:

This is purely herbal, contains no banned/harmful substances and is relatively cheap (11 Baht from memory). It would be light enough to get a few packs posted to you.

However, many Thais in the UK did mix the herbs with vodka, and let it mature. They used to get legless, claiming that they were taking their medicine

Apologies if I am way off track.

Hi Bill

Hopefully, I can comment without being accused of selling something. Glad you had some success. The problem in Thailand is that home-brew formulations rarely list their ingredients due to labelling laws.

There are some famous blood cleansers where you are. This article provides names of herbs and their actions, with a little education thrown in...
http://www.jonbarron.org/article/cleansing-your-blood

As far as Thai herbs are concerned, there are too many to list. I use anything really bitter, such as phyllanthus niruri ('Luk Thai Bai'), Bitter Gourd ('Mara'), Neem ('Sadao'), Aloe Vera (Wan Hang Charakhe') and Triphala.

Failing any knowledge of herbs, use good old garlic! 2-4 cloves daily.

BB's suggestion contains cloves, which are a blood cleanser and anti-parasitic. I have no experience with it. Please let us know if it works for you. Here's the complete list of ingredients... Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix Angelicae Dahuricae, Rhizoma Ligustici Wallichii, Flos Caryophyll, Lignum Santali, Liquarice.
