I'd be much happier with recent ex-pros, Gary Neville, Gary Lineker and Lee Dixon for example.

The FA are a faceless law upon themselves, the "ref saw it" rule also needs reviewing.

Suarez deserves a ban, but 3X violent conduct +1 stinks of making it up as you go along. Oh, and if the face fits.
had same debate with someone tonight, I think he should have got same ban as Barton, biting is a girl
s game and no place in football ever, same as spitting. 10 games is probably about right

So because it's a "bite", and it's a bit "girly" it's 3 times Fellaini's 2 headbutts and full punch in the face?

A little bite that didn't bruise is worth over 3 times the punishment of 2 headbutts and a punch? Am I reading that right?

Its pretty much what I expected. I think he's a bit lucky they didn't add other charges, especually bringing the game into disrepute (worldwide). It's just a new low and I don't see any point in comparing it to other offences.

There are clearly issues with the way the FA goes about its business and especially the discrepencies in the outcomes of various offences and the inequality that arises from whether a ref saw it or not?

But its just the sheer depravity of what he did, coupled with his 'previous' (deserved or not) and as a few 'experts' have stated, Liverpools pre-hearing stance that he didn't deserve more than 3 games smacked of a challenge. Save the arguing for an appeal and don't try and interfere.

That's half a season he's now been suspended for! Any more and I think they'll cut their losses.

Loved Jamie Carraghers comment about the guy needs help and support. For Gawds sake, how difficult is it not to bite someone! :? But I've an idea - buy him a gumshield! :D

I'll be honest Caller, I didn't expect 10. I thought 6 would suffice. It's not proportionate.

He'll be off now anyway and the FA can slap themselves on the back. The bent old bastards.

Liverpool Supporters Club chairman Richard Pedder said: "I don't think it's a shock, I think he deserves everything he gets.
"It's down to the club to tell him 'this is your last chance'. He won't leave the club [this summer]. They shouldn't have said anything and just accepted the ban.

He challenged the FA with a ridiculous assumption that three games was sufficient and that may have backfired on him

Richard Pedder is talking shite.

The ban is disproportionate, it's based on column inches.

The ban will be reduced to 8 games on appeal with the proviso that Suarez goes to a dentist to get his front gnashers filed down !

its a bite, thats it, totally unacceptable. headbutting and punching are what men do, biting has no place in football. To suggest only Suarez would have got a ban like that is ludicrous, anyone would have got the same

Cold hard facts prove otherwise.

Even Joey Barton only got 12 for his multiple assault and 3 of them were for the red.

Suarez just needs to do two headbutts and one full punch in the face next time he's angry, that way it's only a 3 match ban. Or leave somebody unconscious having convulsions if he fancies a 7 match ban.

defend defend defend, bitter red, go back and look at what I wrote at the time- I am pretty sure I said he would deserve all he would get, if that happened to be 10 games then so be it.

here is hoping the horrible little shitbag buggers off to another country in the summer as football in england is better of without him

plus you have to remember it is like the court system, previous is taken into account, he had been warned more than once. He is a great footballer but a twat at the same time, if he dishes it out he should take the punishment as given
