Storage units.

Post by exnavy »

I need to store some furniture and general household bits and pieces for about 6 months. Is there a storage company in Hua Hin?

I think not. Some choose to rent a cheap room or apartment with a decent lock and keep their stuff in there. :thumb:

Seems like this would be a good business opportunity. For someone unlike me with some money to invest.

I looked a long time ago and I think there was one place , but not sure if still about. Arrow something it was called but you had to hiire a large area much bigger than I needed so did not take it up.
I will have a dig about and see if i can find any info on this.

I agree. If I were to go back to working life I would seek a franchise from Shurgard (a US based locker type storage company). The idea is free to anyone.

Moving and storage companies

Post by stevieboy »

Does anyone know of good moving and storage company in HH? I am planning a move from BKK to HH but need company to pick up and hold goods until I return to HH?
How about just a storage rental place? Any to speak of in HH?
Thank you everyone.

See above and search previous posts. Plenty on the subject.

Anyone seen any further development on a self storage place in Hua Hin or environs. Might have to store some household stuff for a while soon. Seems with all the development now in town there should be something, somewhere?

Self storage facilities seem not to have caught on yet in Thailand. if you google "self storage Thailand" there is one company in Bangkok started a year or two ago by an Australian and a Thai, and another in Phuket. That's all I could find. Pete

It's not in HH, but they will store your stuff in BKK and deliver it to HH when you come back.

In Bangkok there are quite a few

Search for Bangkok Self Storage, and you will find them easily....

Bangkok Self Storage
City Storage
Super Storage
Big Move
Prima Self Storage
My Storage

...these are the first ones that pop up, but I'm sure there are more

Nearly used one (I think was Bangkok Self Storage) about 5 years ago, I think was about 5k per month for a mini container (looked about 10ft, so about 1/4 of a std shipping container). I see some of them are advertising as little space as m3

Some new ones just opened in Pattaya. Somebody wanting to start a business that doesn't require much work after the initial build should want to do one of these here. I bet it would be full in a short time.

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
