I don't know if I posted this before, but the below link is a good one for your homepage to keep up with what's going on. Pete

Sorry late report, internet coupled with house electrical problems! :cuss: No one picked Raikkonen to win, and 7 of us picked Vettel to win. Wasn't to be even after the best practices and qualifying.

Richard leads the pack after this first one with 16 points, followed by Pharvey and myself with 15. Scoring seems high as compared to last year so I assume they have changed the rules, but I haven't read the details.

Next Sunday is the Malaysian GP. Details below. Good luck to all. :thumb: Pete

1 - Richard (Yellow Cap) 16.00
2 - Pete 15.00
2 - pharvey 15.00
4 - Terry 14.00
5 - Parahandy 14.00
6 - platinumpools 12.50

9 - JW 11.50
10 - JJBones 11.00
10 - redzonerocker 11.00

At last we have some decent commentary from the old BBC team, the reassuring tones of Martin Brundle make it a pleasure to watch.... those idiots we have had from Singapore made it a viewing nightmare.

That was a rather embarrassingly bad start.

Well done, Richard. You're way ahead of me and we've only had one race! I do think, however, think that the new scoring system will mean that our leader board will be a lot more 'lively', so I'm hoping that I can make up a few more places in the next race or so. We'll be somewhere in Vietnam for a couple of the races, but, if you can believe the websites, should be able to make picks on the free wifi in the hotel.

Now, who'll bet on a wet race in Malaysia...?

Vettel wins his first of the season, although the way he did it could cause friction within the team for a while. Youthful exuberance I guess. Five of us picked him to win.

I had the best race this week with 14.5 points and have peaked early. I now begin my great slide down the table. Pharvey stands in second (can he blast his way through to first? ), with Richard and Parahandy tied for third. Special mention to RZR and JJ Bones who both came up 5 positions this week.

Three week break now with China on April 14. Good luck to all. :thumb: Pete

1 ▲1 Pete (Yellow Cap) 29.50
2 - pharvey 28.00
3 ▼2 Richard 27.00
4 ▲1 Parahandy 27.00
5 ▲5 JJBones 25.00
5 ▲5 redzonerocker 25.00
7 ▲1 lindosfan 24.00
8 ▼1 BigBoy 24.00
9 ▼5 Terry 24.00
10 ▼4 platinumpools 22.00
11 ▲1 Vital Spark 21.50
12 ▼3 JW 17.50

Hamilton has the pole in China. Parahandy was the only one to pick him. Should I congratulate, or stomp my feet. :D Pete

Alonso takes this one. Only JJBones and I picked him to win. Two had the best race this week, JW and Platinumpools both with 14 points. Interesting to note that neither made picks before qualifying therefore losing possible EBP and Pole points. You missed out on that as well Pharvey. I'm still hanging on to first with Pharvey and Parahandy second and third.

I felt there would be some problems with Red Bull given the controversy with the Malaysia race. Perhaps that caused a poor performance by both, or maybe not. Will team problems persist?

Now a quick trip to Bahrain for April 21, good luck to all! :thumb:

1 - Pete 42.50
2 - pharvey 39.00
3 ▲1 Parahandy 38.50
4 ▲1 redzonerocker 38.00
5 ▼2 Richard 37.00
6 ▼1 JJBones 36.50
7 ▲3 platinumpools (Yellow Cap) 36.00
8 ▼1 lindosfan 36.00
9 - Terry 35.50
10 ▼2 BigBoy 35.00
11 - Vital Spark 32.50
12 - JW (Yellow Cap) 31.50

EDIT: A closer look shows that both JW and Platinumpools had exactly the same picks, which appear to be the exact top 10 as the qualifying order. So, waiting to see qualifying and forfeiting the EBP and Pole points resulted in an overall better result for this race. The question is, would that remain true over the course of an entire season? I guess no way to be sure unless someone did it for each race throughout the season.
