Here we are again already. These announcements seem to come out like clockwork at the same time each year. Last year it was December 8. Below is the 2013 schedule.

I've just watched the first of a UK tv series called Racing Legends, this one on Sterling Moss. Patrick Stewart drives the Mille Miglia course with Moss in a spectacular Mercedes. Lots of interviews and footage from the 50s. A whole different world from the Formula 1 scene of today. These guys were all-rounders, driving Formula 1, rallies and endurance races. And the risks for drivers (and spectators - Le Mans 1955 was horrifying) were mind-blowing.

Next one is Jackie Stewart.
