Guitar set up help

Post by geckogiss »

Hi, I have a Gibson Les Paul standard guitar that seriously needs setting up, as travelling from the UK along with the change in weather has impacted on it,
Can anyone set up a guitar? or know anyone that can as I really would like to play it again.
also is anyone interested in jamming?
I should add I live in Pranburi, cheers

I'm sure I remember someone offering to do this very thing not so long ago. Not a regular poster. Someone in Kao Tao - a financial chap, I think. I think he had his own photo as an avatar. Didn't look much like Clapton.

Am I jogging any memories?
If so, it's the only kind of jogging I do these days...
This is the way

Isn't there a musical shop on the right hand side of Petchkasm heading towards Khao Takiab. You have to go as far as the flyover that heads to KT and then do a u-turn by going under the flyover and head back onwards HH and once you hit the main road again, the shop is now on your left, jut a couple of hundred metres at the most?

We looked for that shop a few days ago, but couldn't find it. Let us know if it's definitely still there please.

I know they're doing some new developments close by - maybe it's been swallowed up or relocated in the process?

The shop in question is right on the corner. They don't do set up, anyway.

Was looking for that shop a month or two ago, it has closed down. There is the one in Market Village (top floor) who probably don't do setups but surely would know. Also a small guitar shop on Pala U road on the right side after Tesco Express. If not then Alicia in Bangkok.

The guy in Market Village said he would take a look if I wanted him to, but he's not sure if he'd be able to help or not. I decided not to risk that one! :)

Why not try somewhere like Souay Vista? From what I read, they get a lot of musicians passing through on quite a regular basis. Surely, somebody there might be able to help you out. Must be worth a try.

Just beat me to it BB - that's where I would head for.
Or give Paul a ring - his number was posted on the Souay Vista advertorial recently - anyway it's 0860029368.

He will certainly point you the right way for jamming sessions, Souay Vista is the very place - so you might be able to kill 2 birds .......
