Buksi, I believe you left HH and went south, is that the case?

If so, don't blame you. The canal road is about to be a 4 lane driveway I believe. Nightmare :banghead:

I bought land about 6 years ago if I knew then what I know now I would be south also

Other option for me!

Hi Cozza,

Some interesting comments, if your mad enough to choose the reputable agent route I know a few you could speak to. A good lawyer is easy to find here in HH! :thumb:

I'm actually looking forward to when Canal Rd becomes 4 lanes. It will be much safer with all the motorbikes on the road, and allow safer passing. South of Hua Hin is beautiful, but I prefer north Hua Hin as it cuts up to 40 minutes off the trip to Bangkok and the airport. It may depend how much you travel whether the south appeals to you.

The north Hua Hin area has become very liveable with many new retail outlets and restaurants in the area, and appeals to those of us who have property in Bangkok or are frequent fliers.

That may have been true a while ago but now with the regional airports opening up you can have nicer beaches and cheaper living and all with BKK just an hour away. Chumphon , Surat Thani and Nakon Si Thamerat are all operating flights now and all are in within easy driving distances of some lovely places.
But each to their own. I just found HH getting too expensive and too much like Pattaya for my liking

I agree with Dunc about the southern areas being really beautiful - really enjoy Ao Manao/Bangsapan etc cant agree on the Pattaya comparsion, its just a different animal altogether, when I go to play golf over there I enjoy a few days but realise how lucky we are to have HH the way its is - yes its grown but like Pattaya... come on!

When I want to buy or book a property I directly call the real estate agents in koh samui as they have pretty much experience in bargaining and knowing the area. I had bought a small property in koh samui in which my real estate agents played a vital role.
