This week's top 5 are:

4th= GLCQuantum with "As Jessie presented the new 'tanning lotion' alongside the plastic models, customers seemed to be walking away." (20 Points)

4th= Siani with "Mobile phone call

"Madge, its me.. Kitty...yes, managed to sneak through the back door. The sale start at 9 am, so will I be first to get to the Prada handbags!"" (20 Points)

3rd STEVE G with "Yes, your bum will look big in that." (23 Points)

2nd GLCQuantum with "Tina, the more popular of the mannequins, had had a poorly stomach since the morning and just needed to let one rip." (25 Points)

1st place goes to dtaai-maai with "Blimey, this queue for the Ladies' goes on forever!" (27 Points)

Thank you very much to all who participated. Better luck next time to those who didn't win.
dtaai-maai you now have until 23:59 on 3 Jun 12 to post the next entry. Competition results will be announced on 7 Jun 12.
NB: To facilitate some sort of Bank Holiday in the UK, the judges have requested that this competition is judged one day early.

Big Boy's favourite: "Tina, the more popular of the mannequins, had had a poorly stomach since the morning and just needed to let one rip."

This is getting silly now....it seems to be a frequent occasion on this thread that when Dtaii Maii claims another of his many '1st Place Winners Medals'.... I splutter in at second.

I have had a good crack at some of the recent month's competitions, desperately trying to add to my one lonely medal, yet always fall short... It's a conspiracy I tell ya!

:cuss: :D

Big Boy has favoured me a couple of times though so all is not lost.

Some sort of a bank holiday BB  Have you not heard that it's the Queen's Diamond Jubilee :P The whole country is paying their respects to a wonderful Queen.
In the history of the UK there have only ever been two Diamond jubilees :D So yes "some sort of Bank Holiday in the UK" but maybe not quite the description I would give  At the moment all going really well, flags everywhere, 6 million trees are being planted, concerts etc etc etc...yes...all happening. Not just an ordinary bank holiday :P

The judging is nothing to do with me. I have a team of judges back in the UK (ex workmates) who mark the entries. I simply have the boring task of collating the judges papers, and announcing the winner.

As you would have seen this week, my favourite was actually your entry :D

Certainly from the judges point of view, the Diamond Jubilee celebrations are only the minor part of a major combined bank holiday. Civil Servants are able to take 11 days off work for just 2 days of their Annual Leave allowance i.e. Monday and Tuesday are Whitsun and Queens Birthday and Friday is the Diamond Jubilee.
