Read that the guy doing the opening ceremony at the 2012 games is the guy who did 'Trainspotting'. So downloaded the soundtrack (already got the movie) and blew my mind with 'Born Silly'. Ace stuff if you like drumming

As always in a quiet moment these days - Bert Jansch.
It took a friend a few years to tell me that John Martyn wasn't everything and for me to accept that some of the music from Bert Jansch and John Renbourne worth was listening to.
If you like your music pretty quiet with a folk feel and some serious guitarists, just Google either Bert Jansch or John Renbourne and see them play.
Supposedly, Jimi Hendrix said that Bert was the best acoustic guitarist ever. I not able to cast a judgement on that, but just make your own minds up.
Once I've worked out how to get a video up here, I'll do so.

arseholes, bastards fucking cunts and pricks

aerosole, the bricks
a lawless brat from a council flat oh, oh
a little bit of this and a little bit of that oh, oh
dirty tricks

from the Mile End Road to the Matchstick Beacontree
pulling strokes and taking liberties
she liked it best when she went up west oh, oh
you can go to hell with your 'well, well, well' oh, oh

well who said good things always come in threes?
reds and yellows, purples, blues and greens
she turned the corner before she turned fifteen
she got into a mess on the NHS oh, oh
it runs down your arms and settles in your palms oh, oh

keep your eyeballs white and keep your needles clean

chorus
plaistow patrica (x5)

well her tits had dropped, her arse was getting spread
she lost some teeth, she nearly lost the thread
'till she did some smack with a Chineese chap oh, oh
and affair began with Charley Chan oh, oh

well that was jsut before she really lost her head
now she owns a showroom down at the Mile End Road
and her outer garments are the latest mode
there's a siemese cat in a council flat oh, oh
the finest grains for my lady's veins oh, oh

and when it gets out of order, she goes away for a bit

Nice Lyrics

Time for a post HHAD pissup postage, and in the theme of Buksi who truly doth rock....here comes Radio Sandman

first up a very special dedication to my drinking buddy and fellow northern monkey RICHARD .... Marllion with Assassing

One for KENDO who put the whole shebang together....I know he likes this one....well done that man!

Next, to prove a contested point that Nirvana ripped the riff off ....Killing Joke and 80s

This is how Richard should have reacted when Norseman bought him the sanity killer drink that saw him fall.....AAAAAAAAHAAAAAAHAAAAAA

One from the Dropkick Murphys that sums up the whole drunken debacle that the night turned into

And finally...one for me. This came up in a recent PM exchange, and alongside Kiplings poem "If" sort of sums up where I come from as a person.... Billy Bragg and Between The Wars

Bring on the next one!

By the way the Katoey in Hogs Breath looks like a cross between Fish and the bird in Blade Runner. She'd be OK after a few sherberts :naughty:

Jimmy Page could hit the 12 string but how's this

or

or, a bit more up-beat:

I'd never heard of Andy McKee before until messing around with Utube and the usual suspects for me. His name came up, so I looked. God, he's good, IMHO.

Marillion, early Floyd (saucerful of secrets) and Wakeman and son in Argentina. Well we are celebrating winning the over hyped Malvina's war aren't we?
