Looking for Abdominal Surgeon
Greetings to all, I'm a new nomad in the land of Hua Hin and I was hoping to find a specialist for abdominal surgeries, most specifically in treating Hernia's. Anyone know of any competent doctors here that won't commit malpractice and blackmail me or implant new state of the art viral technology within me during surgery? I'd appreciate any advice! Nice to meet everyone!

I've had surgery here (which saved my life) and the hospital most definitely picked my pocket. I don't feel he implanted any viruses within me, but have noticed increased episodes of 'all politicians are corrupt' fever.IntergalacticQueef wrote:Greetings to all, I'm a new nomad in the land of Hua Hin and I was hoping to find a specialist for abdominal surgeries, most specifically in treating Hernia's. If you go private you are going to pay. If money is an issue, there are more affordable hospitals, which other members will no doubt recommend. I wouldn't go anywhere near San Paolo myself and for anything serious would get a second and third opinion. Have heard a few anecdotes of unnecessary surgery being suggested, such as expensive stents and a back operation. The individuals checked back with their own countries and were informed such surgery wasn't necessary.
Hernias are pretty straightforward, though, aren't they?
Please keep us posted.

Re: Looking for Abdominal Surgeon
I would not go to San Paulo. They misdiagnosed my son and sold us a lot of expensive pills that were not needed and even dangerous. I decided to take him to Bangkok Hospital for a second opinion.
Bangkok Hospital told us to stop taking the pills given to us on an earlier visit to San Paulo as this was the cause of my son's stomach problems and that the pills sold to us on our last visit to San Paulo should never be given to a child that young.
Good thing I did not give him any of the last batch of pills. San Paulo seems more intent in selling drugs from their overpriced pharmacy than anything else.

Re: Looking for Abdominal Surgeon
I had a Hiatus Hernia Operation a few years back. I was diagnosed in the US and the doctor and x-rays cost me close to US$2000. The operation in the US would have cost me US$70,000+. I live in India and they recommended I find a doctor here. I found the doctor who wrote the book on "key-hole" surgery. I got everything done for US$2500. Pre-test, hospital, surgery, all doctors, tests, etc. I would highly recommend this doctor and hospital. I would be glad to help you on this end if you decide to come this way. If this would be an option, send me an email. The trip to India from BKK is US$325-$400 RT. Good luck! davidrange2@gmail.com
I wouldn't have to manage my anger if people could learn to mange their stupidity!

"blackmail me or implant new state of the art viral technology within me during surgery?"
It is not as if you are going in for a sex change etc...just an op for a hernia. Blackmail????
I would ask Dr Mike for advice.

You know I had a premonition about San Paulo but I also have a premonition that Bangkok hospital is also in bed with the insurance and pharmaceutical companies as all private hospitals are everywhere in Thailand, they go together like a cock in a rubber and a prick in a hummer.
Overpriced medication is everywhere including off street pharmacies in Hua Hin and the prices are jacked up 5 times the amount at private hospitals. Government hospitals sell CHEAP medicine BUT the quality of the meds tend to be questionable at times.
I truly appreciate your comments to everyone and singi I think that you have a good soul mate, hope you all have better luck in your lives than I am right now and I appreciate your support, let me know guys if you ever need my help and I'll be sure to give you more than just an Intergalactic Queef because that just might create more than just your average natural disaster..

From my wife's experience last year, nothing could be further from the truth. Although I thought the insurance company were on board, it turned out to be a case of paying the money, and claiming it back from the insurance company later. Apart from that niggle, we were very pleased with the treatment.IntergalacticQueef wrote:I also have a premonition that Bangkok hospital is also in bed with the insurance and pharmaceutical companies.
The prescribed medication has been confirmed as being correct, and continued by my wife's GP since returning to the UK.
