Re: Premier League 2011-2012
Aren't you watching the game, caller?
I was about to go to bed and read War & Peace for a bit of excitement after 20 minutes, but then Lampard had a rush of blood, only getting a yellow card instead of a red presumably on the grounds that he's always been that nice Mr England chap.
It all got quite entertaining for a while - 5 cards in 9 minutes, Wolves missed two sitters. Cole didn't get booked, though only the ref knows why. Then it got boring again, but I've decided somebody's likely to get sent off, so I'll give the 2nd half a chance.
Meanwhile my mate Crouchy is having a great game against Blackburn. Unfortunately nobody gives a toss.
EDIT 11.45: 2nd half. Chelsea score. Decent goal by Ramires, but what was that prearranged love-in all about? Have they got Max Clifford working for them or what? Embarrassing.
Looks like Chelsea are going to sneak a win, but I don't think they can afford to breathe a sigh of relief yet - their defense is awfully shaky and they're not making enough scoring chances either.
McCarthy will no doubt be saying that if Lampard's non-tackle had been had been made by a Wolves player, he'd have been straight off. He may have a point.

Not on over here DM, but having conceded yet another goal in the last few minutes, it looks as if Lamps has popped up to nab the winner - please?dtaai-maai wrote:Aren't you watching the game, caller?

The game wasn't great but a quite entertaining battle, especially the period D-M described.
Only downside being, Trevor Francis was co-commentator

I presumed you were aware of the various sports streaming sites.
Anyway there's a thread all about them in the sports dept.
Some are better than others & some have had the plug pulled.
There is always a live stream available somewhere though.

The second half was awful. It looked like none of the Arsenal players wanted to do anything but kick the ball as far as they could.

I think the amount of games have taken their toll on our threadbare squad.Bamboo Grove wrote:The second half was awful. It looked like none of the Arsenal players wanted to do anything but kick the ball as far as they could.
I have to be honest, i'm quite pleased at where we are at this time of the season, all things considered.
On the positive side, we have the return of the Verminator, Wilshere, Sagna, Gibbs, Santos & Diaby to look forward to.
Possibly a couple of new faces too.
We'll be stronger for the business end of the season

This is traditionally where you collapse.
We'll go 4th when we beat City 5 nil.

Of course you will. And Evra will say it was all a joke and will say sorry to Suarez for all the trouble he caused, and they`ll all have a good laugh about it.

You read the headline on the back of the Daily Mail or huge reports from Spanish Linguistic Professors?
