Staff in Hua Hin

Post by Shakeman »

Hi

Any ideas ladies/gents on the best ways to recruit food/drinks counter/kiosk staff in Hua Hin?

Also have any of the forum members ever employed staff and the plus and minus sides of a farang being their boss.

Obviously translation is a big issue

Regards

Tony

Well avoid the staff from DairyQueen. When they run out of plastic cups they refuse to sell Moolattes even if they still got the other cups.

If you are a Farang boss..be prepared to accept the 'Tail wagging the dog'.
We actually employ a yellow card-Red card system with our staff..and it seems to work (most of the time).
Be prepared for reduced output from your Thai staff if you have a TV on the premises.
Accept that dishes of food/part-eaten chicken & fish will be left around way after mealtimes.
Translation?? ask them any Q. They will always answer "Yes-yes"
If you have any form of music player in/at your place..when you are not there it will be banging out Thai rock.
If you pay them 'Monthly' be ready not to see them for 4-5 days after payment..Lao-Kao haze.
Am I painting a rather bad picture here?..55555.

Maybe, but it's also pretty obvious, particularly from your last comment, that you're talking about a bar! I doubt bapak has the same problems...
