Bicycle rental in Hua Hin

Post by kip70 »

Dear all,

Last year I did my best to find a bicycle for rent in Hua Hin. Preferably a good size, and not a mountain bike (I don't like them). Well, after three days of looking and asking around I finally found one for rent at a Swiss bar, Willy's. Unfortunately it was a very small bike, so quite uncomfortable to cycle on.

So my question is: does anyone know a place where I can rent a good bicycle next time I come to Hua Hin?

Thanks!

The only good bikes I know for rent are at the Hilton. Unfortunatly they are mountain bikes.
I have only ever seen a few road bikes in Hua Hin (privatly owned) as the roads are generally too bad for their skinny wheels.

There's a bar on Poonsuk Road across from the temple that advertises bicycle hire. No idea what they're like though.

prices

Hello

is it allowed to give an idea of prices for the rental of the bikes here?

Do they come with locks ?

And a safety Hat ?

Can you rent these if you don’t stay at the hotel mentioned?

Thanks

Sorry mate, I know it was a genuine, sensible question, and I don't know the answer. It is just thought of Thais providing cycle helmets, when most of the time they can't even be bothered with motorcycle helmets - the question just made me laugh.

Fatcat guesthouse near the fishing pier has a notice up with bike rent at 75 baht per day but I don't know if it's mountain bikes.

Thanks Pagey. Is this about the right rate anyone? as had a request from a tenant coming over in a week's time, as to where, how much for a regular adult bike?

Cheers,

Guys, Pagey's post was over 3 years ago, so things have probably changed.

Hua Hin Bike Tours rent bikes, good quality ones, but they are pricey--about 500 a day.

There's a new Velo shop in Takieb that also does rentals, but don't know the price. As you come from Hua Hin, it's just past the Hyatt (In the same row of shops as Best Bean)
