Our first Christmas here and looking forwards to sampling the festive delights of as many nations as possible. Any recommendations for restaurants that offer a special taste of a European Christmas over the holiday period? I'm only familiar with British and German Christmas foods so any tips on what to seek out from other nations would be great.

Consider Mr Dan Guesthouse (see the sponsor list on the right, third from the top). His spread is very well appreciated by both Finns and Swedes. Reserve quickly as he is likely to be sold out as every previous Christmas.

It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.
You guys have peaked my interest. What exactly is served at a traditional Scandi Christmas dinner?
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

A Danish Christmas Eve dinner would typically include roast pork and/or roast duck with trimmings, red cabbage, white and caramelized potatoes, prunes, and more. The Swedes may differ slightly with substituting goose for duck. The Norwegians I don't know much about, but probably dried fish with big overcooked white potatoes (Not sure though!)
Not enough space to list all the goodies of a Danish Christmas Eve Dinner or Christmas Day Smorgaasbord.
