Hi,
I have bought myself a xexun tk 103 GPS car tracker. It is a pretty cool unit. I can track my car on a map on the internet. And I can turn off the engine off by SMS among other things. It cost 150 US including postage.
I need a good car electrician to fit it. I am guessing a good car alarm installer might be able to do the job. I just need someone to connect it to the battery, connect the lead to turn off the engine if possible and position the unit and it's aerial in a sensible position.
Am wondering if I can find a good car electrician here in Hua Hin or whether I will have to pop up to Bangkok.
Any ideas guys?
Jamie
recommendation for car alarm installer or car electrician?
Re: recommendation for car alarm installer or car electricia
You'll find a garage located between Siam Commercial Bank and Bank of Ayudhya (opposite Tessabahn or Municipality if you like). I believe the boss is a car electrician.

Go to one of the places that sell and install car audio equipment - they should be able to do it.

Am hoping that someone has experience with a particularly good car electrician?? Someone they would recommend to do a job similar to this?
We are going to check out the lead for a garage which must be around the entrance to Soi 63 "between Ayudhya Bank and Siam Commercial Bank".
Thanks.

Thanks for the tip on that garage. We found the place between the two banks. Their main guy wasn't there but they told us of another place that had more experience with this kind of thing. A shop where they install alarms and have installed gps units.
Sadly though faced with a manual that said connect the black wire to - 12 V, the red wire to + 12 V, Purple wire to ACC, etc. the guy with more experience said he needed more information. He wanted to know exactly where to connect the wires. I have to say I think the skill level here is pretty low for things like this. I expect there are some outstanding shops around. Anyone know of one????

Go and ask K. Pichai. If he can`t do it he will know where to go.
