For years I have been following the health advice to drink red wine everyday, apparently it will prolong my life. But now I read that to prevent heartburn I should abstain from alcohol 2 or 3 days a week. Here`s the dilemma, should I continue with alcohol and live longer but suffer extra years of heartburn.
I welcome the advice from forum experts.

I'll second and drink to that!

I am not sure that it is true in this case but there are many decisions that are
QUALITY OF LIFE v. QUANTITY OF LIFE
A long miserable life or a shorter but more joyous one.
I remember Rumple of the Bayley summarised it well
--he was told he should stop drinking Claret--he said--If you could promise me ten more years similar to when I was twenty I would be interested, but ten more years in the Sunnyside rest Home--No thank you.
