Good Doctor in Hua Hin
Can I get some advice on a good doctor in Hua Hin? Coming in to Hua Hin long term on 24 Aug with no real health issues but they will come as I get older. I have my medical files and such with me but some experience with local Doctor's would be appreciated. I have insurance that will cover anything in the future. I understand that the BKK sub hospital in Hua hin is good and perhaps some have some advice on who to call or ask to request as my primary doctor.

If you find one let me know. Back home the norm is that you find a doctor (internist preferably) and you always see him, get to know him/her and they you, and refer you to a specialist if needed. You form a relationship. In the last 20 years in the U.S. I only had two primary physicians. Here, you generally go to a hospital or clinic and have to see whoever is available and it is generally a different doctor every time (in my experience).
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

The only good doctors I have found in my short time here are at Bangkok Hua Hin hospital, I have been to clinics and they just dish out tablets without checking much. If you have anything wrong go to BKK Hua Hin Hospital or go to Bangkok
I wish I could find a good doc here

Re: Good Doctor in Hua Hin
I created my own primary care physician, so to speak, at Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin. With Dr.Mike's assistance, I was recommended a doctor and made an appointment with her to explain that I wanted to use her as my "first point of contact" for non-emergency medical care, and she understood the concept and agreed.
I did a packaged physical and reviewed the results with her, and she made notations to remind her that my normal body temp is a full degree (C) lower than "normal," and some other idiosyncracies of my test results, so that if I come to her with a problem she will compare test results with the base-line results established from the physical.
I have found that the low body temp is a problematic concept for some other health care professionals in Thailand. When I have a temp of 37.5, it's comparable to a "normal" person having a 38.5 temp, which is already a moderate fever, not "normal."

I did the same thing with a recommendation from Dr. Mike. Unfortunately, the doctor I saw (and liked) decided to leave for more training after my first visit with him. Maybe my health problems shocked/stumped him so he left...
Guess I need to try again with another doctor. They seem to move around a lot so it may be difficult. The two primary physicians I saw over a twenty year period in the U.S. had their own practice in their own office, not in a clinic or hospital.
