Had them in the UK / Europe since around 1962. Called the Amphicar. maybe not as fast etc but not a new idea by any means.

Aquada is also quite nice amfibio car which is based on Maxda MX-5 I think. On road it goes about 160 km/h and on water 35. Looks like it works quite well.

I'm not shure about prices, but in US it might cost 100.000 $ and in europe maybe double of that.

WaterCar's Python with Corvette V8 engine (640 hp). It can go 0-100 km/h in 4,5 seconds. Quarter mile 12,5 seconds. Quite fast I must say. :)

In land it is said to go 160 km/h and in water 100 km/h. Prices begin at 200.000 US$.
