New Section entitled Boring
I suggest you set up a new section entitled "Boring." The moderators would have the right to move any thread there that has filled (say) five pages and is still going round in circles.
The combatants could continue to post to their hearts' content.

Good idea but not thought through. As Jaime says isf you don't like the subject matter don't read it.
What I would like to see is certain posters who repetivley go against the tide and chuck in the od nonsencical comment that serve only to wind up sensible posters who contribute both well thought and factual response laced witha bit of humour.
Any ideas for a name.

Reminds me a bit of when i was a kid, and when watching television would say something like 'There's nothing worth watching' and my Mum would say 'Well, there is an OFF button you know.' Of course some of us on here have to read every bit of tripe that gets posted, so you non-mods count yourselves lucky!

Well well. That one has stunned me.raphoe wrote:I think, for what it's worth, that anyone who uses words like "combutant" should have a special "boring" area just for them!
As there is no such word as combutant in the English language it would be extremely difficult to identify postings that contained words similar.
On the subject of language. I hope you realise that your handle (Sl.) has a meaning within certain US subcultures. I think I do not need to explain the details but will give a word of warning for you.
If you happen to agree to meet a friend in LA or New York, for the sake of Buddha do not let him shout your name across the street when he first sees you.
A topic on the other meaning of the word "boring" would be more than welcome.
It could start something like "Once upon a time their was a little simple lad called George who had a powerful father also called George. George Snr. when relaising the future was bleak for his son if he had to go it alone arranged for large sums of money from his Saudi Arabian Billionaire pals to be given to the feeble minded son to enable him to go boring for oil".
Trouble is that this site is supposed to be of regional/local status and the relavancy of the subject matter would be tenuous at least.
Sorry if I used a couple of words there that might make me elligible for the boring section.
