Does the "y'all" indicate that you are from the southern U.S. originally?

A southerner at heart, with a huge affinity for the south that is based firmly in the music: NOLA, Memphis, Austin, the cowboy life, etc.
Has anyone on the list downloaded the HBO series Treme? 2nd season just ended. Takes place immediately after Katrina, struggles of the musicians, the politicians, police. Highly recommended.

I know what you mean about the music. I spent the first 30 years of my life in Memphis and I miss it (the way it used to be). Between growing up there and frequent trips to New Orleans I gained a great appreciation for southern rock, rhythm & blues, jazz, and even some gospel music. I got into the Texas cowboy country music too and still listen to Willie Nelson all the time.
