HIV Test and Innoculations

Post by TakeitToTheMax »

I am taking a job overseas and been instructed to obtain a HIV clearance certificate and also have a number of innoculations, i have a list.

I have been to the local doctor I have used for minor issues he advised he cannot do and I must go to a hospital.

Anyone had this done and can recommend where to go

Thanxs mates

I can't help with specific info mate, but there's only one thing I would try to do first and foremost from what I've seen of medical care here, and that's contact Bangkok Hua Hin hospital to see if they can do it all. They, and the large respected hospitals in BKK (like their group, Bunrung, Samitivej's & co) are operating in totally different centuries to the others I've experienced. I don't believe the prices will differ that much either, a few hundred Baht at the most.

Bangkok Hua Hin Hospital - HIV Clearance certificate 500Baht, 30 minutes for results no need to wait 3 months for result as advised in a private message.

The private hospital is not saying the test results will take 3 months, but that you should wait 3 months after last 'contact' before being tested, ie: the 'incubation' period. If the test is for work then you don't need to wait, if it's to find out how you are then you do.

I answered this on thre hospital page --- so again

AN HIV test if Negative means that 2-3 months ago you did not have HIV/AIDS

That is fine for employment purposes.

If you are concerned about inappropriate events then an test done right away is not reassuring as the virus may be incubating and the test will be Negative even tho yoiu are infected. So a test in a few months time is better.
