Are football strips easy to come by in Hua Hin as Ive heard there is a large selection in Bangkok , even original Nike kit as these are made in Thailand according to the labels?

The best shop is at Grid C6 on this map http://www.huahinafterdark.com/hua-hin-map.htm . It's a little road that goes behind the Hua Hin Shopping Mall. Walk up the side of the Shopping Mall, and the road bears right towards Amnuvasin Road. The shop is on the right. If you look at the map, the shop is between the 'a' of Hua Hin House and one of the purple boxes.

They may be a little more expensive than other shops which will sell you copies, but the quality is excellent, and they will also include all badges etc eg the Premiership Badge or Champions League badge at very little additional cost. You won't be disappointed.

When my little lad was still little, he was crazy about football shirts and had over 200. He was quite particular, and found that shop to be the best he's found anywhere - in particular, it was the little badges that really impressed him. Other kids in the UK used to be quite envious of his shirts.

Ha yeah thats the thing, I have seen lots of copies and the quality varies greatly. The badges etc just finishes it off and saves me a few quid too. Plus my lad is at Newcastles Academy so wears strips 4 times a week so he goes through them like a hot knife through butter!! Just counting down the weeks now. We are staying at the Sofitel which is supposed to be good and looks very central so hoping to see a lot of everything!!

Yes, Sofitel is very central - for some reason they won't let me in there. As far as I know I've never done anything wrong :? I've tried the main entrance, and the side entrance, but have always been stopped by the security guards. From what I've seen (photos), it looks very nice.

You should be able to walk to most places from Sofitel. The sports shop is about 400 yards down the road.

Lots of choices however Milano Costumes in Naresdamri road (on small cnr) behind Sofitel did the right thing by me. Bought quality cloth , double stitched with lining. 2 shirts and 2 pants also double stitched and lined for 11,000 Bht. Took pants back after 1 year as my waist line had slipped and let out (I bought them with sufficient excess) at no cost!

The football shirts in the shop BB mentioned, I forgot the name (Sun Sports ?) but I have his card somewhere, are excellent replicas. I have been buying there for years and regularly bring them back here for mates. A lovely couple also who run the shop, who always greet me and will try to get your shirt if they do not have in stock. He often has two qualities, a cheap one at 250 Baht and a perfect copy for 400 Baht. Always get the 400 baht one. Ignore the ones in the night market which may be a few baht cheaper.

I get my shirts made here, but in recent years I have been getting my suits/jackets made in Hong Kong, as I find the quality of workmanship here is not nearly as good.

Not sure why BB goes to the sports shop for footy shirts though as they only stock the top teams................... :neener:

Sounds like the 400 baht shirts are the answer. Do they do the shorts and socks also ? or just the shirts? ............And if they do the top teams they are bound to be jam packed with Newcastle shirts :guns:
