Army with guns khao takiap

I went to khao takiap this morning, right to the end next to the golf course, to look if they had started work on The Sanctuary site yet and was amazed to see the army with guns there :shock: Does anyone know what it is all about. They were staked out like snipers with machine guns :o

Probably preparing for the upcoming elections... :D

Seriously though, just on the beach south of the golf course there is a line of (6 to 8 ) very nice beach villas that I've heard are for the sole use of high ranking army officers and visiting dignitaries so I suspect someone important is staying in one of them.

The Army? With guns? Outrageous! Whatever next....?

Armies do tend to do drill / practice sometimes, and the golf course is on their land. Or as HH suggests, 'brass' in town.

Read the papers....the peaceful elections are not that peaceful

could well be a security checkpoint thing..... no cause to worry at all bro

Well for the tourists and visitors to Hua Hin, it must look a bit weird, a road full of armed snipers :oops: Just the sort of image you want for a day on the beach 8) Khao Takiap twinned with Huntington Beach, very relaxing :?

We all share your sentiments but we all also know that the chances of this election going smoothly are nil to nothing.

There is more chance of myself being considered as a 'pearl of wisdom' on this forum than a smooth election.
If it's within arms reach, there's nothing to worry about!!
