Thank you. I took a quick look and there seems to be plenty of options for under 200,000 baht. I'm going to spend some time looking around so I can get a better idea of what's available.

We have no problem with used car sites, in fact here are a couple:
I have bought a few cars here, one example was a 1990 volvo nice car drove very well 150,000 baht $4500 aud. I got it from Pataya car dealer who was a farang. You can drive around[ or ride] and find a few cars with a box or similer on the roof, they are for sale. there is a lot of older cars for around 80,000 to 150,000 mark. Pick your mark as said above thai people fix nothing untill its broken and even then its with a hammer
