Short introduction - another Australian

Post by Kel »

We had planned our move to Hua Hin for this time next year, but the earthquake and ensuing events brought forward that plan - I lived most of the past 20 years in Japan. Looking forward to getting settled here, and getting to know the environs. Looking forward to making my way through the various discussion threads to gleam information on services available and places to go.

Welcome Kel,
so you will become our Nippon adviser? From the land of the rising sun to the land of sunny smiles? 8)
I am sure your interests in sport etc will soon reveal your Aussie roots and enrichen the Anglo speaking diversity on this forum. :thumb:

Hi Jombob,

That advice would not extend to Japanese woman (sorry).....never worked them out in all those years! Looking forward to getting back into some sports. I prefer solo sports like tennis, golf and surfing. Obviously no surf here and rusty on the tennis and golf after years of non-play in Japan, but one reason I chose Hua Hin was golf courses and near the water. (Haven't seen a picture of Aunty Jack for quite awhile.)

Hi Kel,

Recently moved here myself, and as you may of seen from my intro, I am Aussie as well, with a Thai/Japanese wife. Maybe she can help you figure out the Japanese women hey; although I think I will just sit, back have a drink, and be amused at that conversation.

Cheers Allan

Well Kel,
I will await your choice of avatar with interest, my choice of Aunty Jack is like a secret sign of what club i belong to.
Trivia: i stayed at the HH Marriott last year where I was told a couple of years ago Jimmy Barnes' daughter got married, (yes his wife is Thai.) That would have been a great Karaoke event.

Apologies poosmate,

I am sure you worked it. I am not one for team sports.
