Ignore the rest of the b@st@rds on the forum Richard...... I'll have a late brekkie with yourself and SM when next in HH - trust the bacon & eggs come with a pint?
I'm not over fussed about it kicking off. Just sowed the seed to see if any were interested. I would just be a participant and would certainly not post my responses on the site as I've been bollocked too often for promoting venues who are not sponsors but may be willing to do 1 page advertorials.

Apparently it's not our job as mere punters to encourage vendors to sign a deal with HHAD
Now, now... calm down tiger, steady the boat and all that :tsk: ! I'm sure you deserve a bollocking from time to time, I certainly do...... well, at least that's what the Long Haired general tells me :D

With or without you, you cantankerous bugger - I shall on my next visit to Hua Hin, amble down to a few of the establishments mentioned..... , perhaps a few that or not, and shall post my thoughts. Surely this is not in opposition or critical of HHAD's rules and regulations is it? Not directly promoting anything and it sure as hell happens on other threads with regards to bars. Sorry mods (and advertisers of course) - please advise if you feel otherwise. IMHO seems to me a chance for a cheeky competition between bars/cafe's, a few expats to meet up, talk b*ll*cks, have a bit of fun and relax -now what's wrong with that?

Just to clarify as you keep whinging on about this ...

We have no problem with recommendations and reviews for non sponsors, in fact we encourage it as it provides good information for our readers. What we do have a problem with are freeloaders and those that slag us off on other websites when they don't get their way here.

'It is intersting that in English speaking countries, we have this special 'Breakfast food" in most of the world people eat the same stuff for B'fast as they do for lunch and dinner.

I remember when the wife had just recently joined me in England for a while. One morning I came downstairs to get myself a bit of toast and some milk and ready waiting on the table for me was a huge plate of steaming hot Spaghetti Bolognaise. She'd seen me make this dish frequently in the evenings and thought it'd be a nice little surprise for me. On trying to explain the difference between breakfast and dinner I was met with... 'It's food aint it?'

I can relate to that. Sweet & Sour Chicken and Beef in Oyster Sauce served up for breakfast. Quite nice actually.

I've had a weird experience the other way round

Wife cooked a fry up breakfast which smelt great. When it arrived on the table and I'm ready to dig in she politely informed me it was for her not me :( :(

Wife arrived in HH a week or so ago and I casually said 'darleeen where do you want to go to eat your songtam?'. She replied (this is 8am in the morning bare in mind) 'can you get me a KFC take away?'

Some of you may have met my 'dragon' and she is a skinny beanpole but can demolish a farang plateful of stodge with ease and then go back to the Isaan diet 10 minutes later

AND no, it's not sexercise

richard, I think most members are assuming that you've spat your dummy regarding the OP. Can I suggest you re-state what it is you are suggesting? If, of course, you are still interested.

BB with respect I don't give up to flak either by PM's from on high or the thread (I'm a stubborn Yorkshire tyke with the skin of a water buffalo)

It seemed to me like a good idea which is why I posted it. I got pissed off because I was told to keep my nose out of promoting HHAD

If average punters like me cannot coerce clients into providing revenue for HHAD, it sucks and is doomed.

Sure, I understand you (HHAD) have a marketing department but every little helps

I love the site and despite walking the tightrope a few times I feel I can contribute to it's future

If the daggers are out for me I will back off as graciously as possible  Possibly with my middle finger aloft
