Hi again mac2309..'Hua Hin Bike', the shop for serious riders on Petkasem Rd do road-runs I think most Saturdays. Many of these runs are mainly done by Thais, but I've been on a couple, and everyone were real
friendly. (one ride was down to Phu-Noi / Dolphin Bay..with many cyclists from the Thai Army Garrison..great
ride, with back-up Army trucks to bring you back, & lunch thrown in for free c/o Thai Army).
This shop also organises longer rides..say Bangkok- Hua-Hin.
A mixture of bikes involved on the longer runs..all with 'skinny-tyres'.

Re: Hiring racing bike
Hi US,
That sounds great, just the thing I've been looking for!
I think my apartment is on that road too!
HH - Bangkok must be about 160k isn't it?
I can do that in Europe but I imagine it's pretty tough in the heat?
I'll go and visit that shop as soon as I'm there and see if I can sort myself out with a bike.
Cheers, Mac

Re: Hiring racing bike
Thanks Alf, yes I've seen the tours they advertise and I might try them to get to know the place and maybe meet some people.
Re: Hiring racing bike
Most of their rides are on hybirds, 30-40 kms for the day ride but they will do more if you ask.
We do have a songkran ride comming up... 9 days and 430kms on hybrids from Ampawa to Ban Krut.
I think the link to that ride is on the front page of their website.
