Best places to exchange monies!
First time in Thailand and would like to know the best places to exchange U.S. dollars for Thai Baht? Also, what are the best denominations to bring in US dollars for exchange or does that matter?
Thanks for any help in this matter. We are just trying to get the best bang for our buck while in country.

Tony, this site is almost real time http://bankexchangerates.daytodaydata.net/default.aspx . The best bank changes from hour to hour. Check here, and you'll be able to see where to go before you set off to change your hard earned cash.
It'll also give a clue to the best denominations.

Thank you much for the tip on exchanging money, I do appreciate that very much! I have read alot about Hua Hin and it sounds like a fabulous place, we are really looking forward to discovering for the first time and returning in the near future.

You're very welcome, and I don't think you'll be disappointed with Hua Hin, or Thailand as a whole.

Money Changers such as Verasu between BKK Sukhumvit 9 & 13 will normally give a better rate than banks.
Denomination (20s, 50s, 100s) is not so important but quality of bills is. They won't change torn, dirty or old bills.

I am glad I asked this question as I have gotten great feedback and always good to ask before you leave for the trip. Sites like these really make the vacations that much more enjoyable as they eliminate alot of the hiccups and headaches along the way.
Thanks everyone for the info!

Check the exchang rates at the airport. They can be quite favourable and most people just run to get outside.
They are just past passport control.

Change about $100 at the airport to get you rolling into HH.
Bank kiosks all over town and offering pretty much the same rates. Bring Amex TCs in 100s (500s give you too fad a wad of baht IMO). You will be charged 33 baht PER CHECK so don't bring 20s or 50s.

Re: Best places to exchange monies!
I don't think it is worth worrying about as all the banks are pretty close. You wouldn't want to run around town spending your holiday time chasing the best rates to save a few baht.
That said, several people have told me of a money changing business in Bangkok called "Super Rich" and they say this place always has a better rate than any of the banks.
But again, unless you are changing a huge amount, I wouldn't worry about it. Just enjoy your holiday and do it at whatever bank is convenient, but never at a hotel as they will really rip you off.

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Don't change money opposite the Hilton these kiosks give about a baht less walk around a bit and you will get better rates end of Poolsuk rd money changing place on the corner almost opposite the Kodak shop gives top rates.
Kendo.
Make sure no torn or marked with a pen bank notes they won't except them.

Again, thanks a bunch! All this information is extremely helpful especially since I haven't withdrawn money yet for the trip, so this will give me ideas of how and what type of money to carry.
